"Aluminum
Series" This special printing medium was developed with technical assistance and production by Northern Engraving Corporation, USA. It was used to translate my original painting rendered in watercolor on ricepaper as a lithographed image on brushed aluminum. After undergoing special processes to produce the translucent and shimmering effects of the image, the aluminum surface is printed with heat baked inks. To protect the piece, a final high gloss/low gloss clear coating is added. These special prints exist as numbered limited editions. © 1992 Lisa Rivas |
